Privacy Policy
Omey Wild is made for people who want to remember the outdoors without turning every hike into a public post. This page explains what the app may access on your device, what stays on your phone, and how we handle information connected to this website.
Last revised · June 10, 2026
- Step outside without signing up Log a trail, pin a viewpoint, or jot field notes without an account — no email, username, or follower count needed.
- Your wild journal stays yours Route sketches, wildlife sightings, and personal location notes are not sold to advertisers, tour operators, or data brokers.
- Built for discovery, not profiling We gather only what keeps the app reliable. Omey Wild does not build advertising profiles from your outdoor history.
Scope of this policy
This document covers the Omey Wild app available through the app store and the supporting pages hosted on this domain. It applies to anyone who installs the app or visits this site.
Data we process
Core features do not require your legal name, email address, phone number, home address, government ID, or payment information.
Trail titles, habitat tags, species notes, and reflections you enter are stored on your device. Your nature journal is not uploaded to our servers for targeting or resale.
When the app fetches shared content — onboarding screens, trail prompts, or seasonal tips — it may request public material from this site. Those responses contain only generic guidance; your entries and metadata are never included.
Device permissions
Omey Wild may request notification access so you can receive reminders to log a hike, check a weather window, or revisit a saved trailhead.
Camera or photo library access is used only if you capture a landscape, plant, or wildlife photo for your journal. Microphone, contacts, and precise location are not used unless a future release clearly requires them and this policy is updated accordingly.
Standard storage and network permissions let the app run and download optional template updates. Crash reports sent through the platform store follow that platform's privacy terms.
Third-party services
Hosting keeps this policy page and public API endpoints online. Providers may retain server logs for security and reliability under their own privacy policies.
If we introduce analytics or support tools later, we will name them here and limit sharing to what each service requires to operate.
Children
Omey Wild is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If a child submitted data in error, reach out through the app store support channel — we will assist with removal where feasible.
Retention and security
Your trail log and field notes remain under your control on your phone. Delete individual entries inside the app or uninstall to clear local data.
We apply reasonable safeguards to hosted pages and server-side components. No system is perfectly secure — treat sensitive personal details with the same care you would a private expedition diary.
Your choices
You may stop using Omey Wild at any time. Turn off notifications or revoke optional permissions in iOS Settings whenever you prefer a narrower experience.
To request access, correction, or deletion of data we handle directly, use the support contact listed on the app store page.
Policy updates
We may revise this text as Omey Wild evolves or as regulations change. The date above reflects meaningful updates. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated version where permitted by law.
